Junior Miss (Distinguished Young Woman)

This experiance has been an amazing. I can't not explain in this message how much I have grown. I suppose I will just start from the beginig.
Those first few meetings are pretty much a blur I just remember thinking what have I gotten myself into. As time progressed we began our early morning practices that included waking up at 6 and meeting at an elementary school to begin to learn our routines. We began with our opening number routine. That was a lot of fun to learn because it became the ice breaker of the group. It took us a week to learn it once that was all over we began our fitness and self expression. Time flew while while we were doing this. Our fitness routine wasn't just going and working on the 10 minute routine it was going for 40 miniutes and doing cardio to the point where some of us would get sick. Then the last 20 miniutes we worked on the routine, this was every other day. The other days we would go work on self expression which was a serious relief. We would always cringe when the other group ran by doing stairs because we new that was what tomorow held for us.
Our theme was Once upon a time. I was number 4 which I found to be the perfect number and is basically my lucky number now.
Then as the night got closer we moved to the auditorium to practice these three routines and to work on our talents. I was lucky enough to have a voice teacher who was actually on the junior miss councel. For this I was very very greatful! Throughout these weeks I feel in love with all these girls I got to see them in there worst and see them through their best. We were all able to grow together and support each other. I have gained so many girl friends it is crazy because I never thought that I would have this many.
The night finally cam and nerves were flying but as I stepped out on the stage they were gone and I had an amazing night of showing off talents and just spending time with the girls. Suprisingly enough through this experiance we were able to kkeep the drama down to the point where there was hardly any even with the 14 of us. Anyways, we all watched each other and helped each other back stage calming nerves! In the end I did not win anything but this experiance has tought me a ton.

Temple Trip

Thursday directly after school my ward did baptisms for the dead. We went and was able to eat in the cafeteria there food is so good. After we got dressed in our nice white jump suits then I was confirmed for 10 people ranging from 1800-late 1700's then I got my names to be baptized and there was a girl named Dorthea Princess of...... I can't remember the place and there was no date but I really hope she accepts the gospel so I can meet her and all of the people that I have baptized. Baptisms are one of my favorite activities and I am very thankful for the temple and the peace and blessings that we can all receive.
