Temple Trip

Thursday directly after school my ward did baptisms for the dead. We went and was able to eat in the cafeteria there food is so good. After we got dressed in our nice white jump suits then I was confirmed for 10 people ranging from 1800-late 1700's then I got my names to be baptized and there was a girl named Dorthea Princess of...... I can't remember the place and there was no date but I really hope she accepts the gospel so I can meet her and all of the people that I have baptized. Baptisms are one of my favorite activities and I am very thankful for the temple and the peace and blessings that we can all receive.

School

With school going on I am pleased to say that today was my first day not having homework this year! In woods class we are about to start our projects and I absolutely love woods I never thought I would find a hobby that I enjoyed so much I'm glad my friends talked me into doing it even though there not in my class it gave me an opportunity to meet new people. Although, I do have to read my scriptures for Seminary but I don't consider that homework. I am a little behind only 12 sections behind and since there is short section and a 4 day weekend ahead I am hoping to get caught up.
Today we had a great devotional by a student named Bradley I thought that I would share it with you because it was a very strong message and an important subject to him.
D&C 121:45
Let thy bowels also be full of
charity towards all men. and to the
household of faith,and let virtue
garnish thy thoughts unceasingly;
then shall thy confidence wax strong
in the presence of God; and the
doctrine of the priesthood shall distil
upon thy soul as the dews from heaven.

He said that it is not only to keep our bodies clean but it is important to keep our thoughts clean too. When we think something it is like actually doing it. He also commented on how important women modesty is to him. It doesn't just go to how low your shirts are in the front or back. It is also how tight they are. Bradley told us how and it is for him to keep his thoughts clean when so many young women were tight shirts and that he can think of many respected people that even where clothing like that.

He challenges us all to help the young men out and dress modestly so we can all have clean thoughts.

Another Shock!

Two days after I got called to be the assistant chorister in sacrament an amazing thing happened! I was in Seminary and Brother Tanner asked me to be President of my Seminary class. I can understand why though. There is only 2 juniors and one of them is the other president and the other is a Sunday Mormon and does everything possible to make Bro.Tanner mad. Then there is 3 sophomores and I have been doing my best to help most of the freshman out because our whole class is made up of them. It is kind of scary to be in front of the class every other day and to have to add to other peoples devotionals. I am glad for the opportunity to be the President of my class it is really an awesome opportunity.
Now I am 1st councilor of the Mia Maids but I will be 16 soon so I will be released. Then I am the assistant sacrament leader, which I just got a hymn book and I am working on leading one song every night. Plus working on being President of my class it is kind of crazy right now but I feel like I can handle it. Especially with family and friends here to help me.

Today during church the Bishop asked to talk to me. I went up to his office and my friends Meg and Quinn were there. We were trying to figure out what was going on. I got called to be an Assistant Chorister in Sacrament! Wow I am in complete shock. I never expected to be leading. I will have a lot of learning ahead of me!

First day of school

Today August 26th was the very first day of school my sophomore year. My day began with finding my locker and getting another schedule even though I brought my other one from registration. I go to my first hour and of course knowing Mr.Powers he had 12 papers we needed to pick up. Then we went of the Syllabus and classroom rules. We then got our papers that we received all labeled correctly. The final thing we did was notes for our first unit and a worksheet. Second hour I was so nervous about because I didn't know anybody in the class and so I walked outside to our woods shop. There is a total of four girls and I don't know any of them and all the guys there was only one person I know and Gaitlin said that he can help me with my woods project I can't wait to show you guys! We then went to the new class CPR and that was okay I like Mr.Lyon but the class all together is a waste of time and is very boring. Lunch was well lunch very gross so I am thinking I should start packing my own lunch. What do you think? After lunch I went to Seminary. most of my class is freshman and that makes me a little nervous. I ended up having the seminary teacher that everyone wants to have because he is just so awesome. I didn't really care who I got but I am glad I got him. then after Seminary class I went to my Honors World History class. I do not like my teacher. After going on and on about the rules he made us do a 214 word essay on a quotation that was very short it was hard to think of things to say. He was also very grumpy and the classroom was so Hot and uncomfortable. So he is my least favorite class but maybe it will get better I just don't think it will positive attitude I guess haha.....

School Time

It is time for school! I am very excited. My schedule is Honors Science with one of my favorite teachers-Mr.Powers. My second hour is a woods class and I am nervous about that because there could be a chance I will be the only girl ahh!!!! My third our is Geometry with one of my least favorite teachers because he doesn't teach the class all he does is tell us the answers so we shall see about him. My fourth hour is Seminary which I am very much looking forward too it will be a great relief out of a crazy schedule. Then my last hour is Honors World History with Mr.Lambert...I don't know much about time but I've heard he is very strict but I am up for the challenge. Because our ISAT scores our low we will loose our funding if we don't do anything about it. So they put in a new class called CPR. The freshman and sophomores(me) have to meet there everyday. It is right before lunch time and is a 35 minute class. We used to have ACES that were only about twice a trimester but now we have CPR our Aces teacher takes over that class. My ACES teacher must have left the school because now I have a new teacher Mr.Lyon and I have no idea who he is. Anyways, the junior and seniors only have to take the class if they failed there ISATS or is below a 2.00 GPA. They also have to take it the first and last 5 days of the month. The extra 35 minutes for those who aren't taking it is going into there lunch. Which makes me look forward to being a junior because then I can have an hour long lunch!
School is on its way!

School, Thanks

Yesterday I began my online classes. I am doing a Lifetime Fitness class and it should be really easy. Hopefully... Anyways so far I am almost done with Unit one and I have no lcue how long it will be until unit two. Sinse I don't really have much to do this summer, these classes are all I have to do. That's why I'm already so far ahead of the class.
This morning right before I was going to say my morning prayers I decided to Thank instead of asking. It was harder instead of asking for Ryan to have strength. I thanked him for this trial that he has to go through. It was a lot harder then it should have been so I'm going to keep working on it. A little challenge for whoever reads this try for 3 days to do both morning and night pray'rs with only thanks. Good Luck!!

Life has been crazy right now! I'm learning how to play the guitar. My best friend is teaching me we will see how this goes. Yes, Ryan has left for the summer and it's hard but this is a trial that he has to go through and soon it will be over. Right now I am being as strong as I can because I know I have too. For my friends and for my family.
I don't know what I would do if i didn't have my friends by my side so thank you everyone!! I really appreciate it you guys are whats making this time easier for me. Same with my family you guys are all the best I couldn't ask for any people better!!

I will be going up to Boise and that's going to be such a nice break from the chaos of being home. I bought a dress well my bought it for me but it's my first dress in forever it looks really good on me I can't wait to show you guys!!

Update!

Happy Easter!!! Hope was so cute today seeing what the Easter bunny had brought her. She has a new prince charming Ken the barbie doll. She also got some bubbles and a lot of chalk.
As for me I got the book The Candy Shop by Brandon Mull the one who writes Fablehaven. I'm excited to read it. I also got a bookmark with the young women's theme it is so cool I love it.
My all time favorite thing that I got was two wii games. There is a carnival one and a Sims kingdom one. The carnival one will be fun to play with my friends and Tymber.

Spring Break ends tomorrow =( its terrible!! I don't want to go to school don't make me! I am looking forward to seminary! I have another devotional coming up who knows what i should do it on any ideas? The last devotional I did was on the power of prayer and I just shared my story on how my family got sealed but you guys all know that one right? I love my seminary class there is only 4 freshman and that is including me! I have learned so much from the older class. I have three seniors sitting by me so I am always partnered with them. I like this class better then my last because that one had almost all freshman and everyone messed around. It's nice that people are serious again.

I'm still struggling with math. My teacher Mr. Thomas is pretty good though...he's not good at teaching word problems unfortunately. We signed up for our sophomore year. I'm doing two honor courses English and American History. I can't wait to get out of the English class that I am in right now everyone is so stupid! No offence but really its not that hard.

Anyways Happy Easter hope you all had a great time.
